Hey folks, hope your week is going well so far.
This week's bonus newsletter is a preview of the upcoming record store management meets rhythm game MR. RECORDS, which released a demo this week.
While this newsletter is indie-focused, I've also got some thoughts on the hideous news coming out of Xbox this week (I refuse to refer to it in all caps) as well as my early thoughts on my time with CONTROL Resonant (why are so many games in all caps nowadays?) and Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.
MR. RECORDS preview - magical mystery tour
I think my relationship with music needs fixing.
Much like using the computer, listening to music was an event. I'd perform the ritual of choosing a record, opening the case, and placing the disk ever so carefully in the hi-fi before hitting play. I'd then go on an aural journey with my favorite musicians.
Guns In The Sky punches into New Sensation, which abruptly halts for a beat before Devil Inside creeps in: I experienced Kick the way INXS intended me to, in the order they intended, listening to it from start to finish in one glorious new wave rock session.
