One Extra Next Fest Game To Grab!
Another best of the Fest
Hello!
Quick one from me today. The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that Friday’s newsletter promised six games but I only wrote about five. In my last-minute editing shuffle I accidentally forgot to put one on the list, so here it is!
ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs
There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching restoration videos. I get to revel in the passive satisfaction that comes with watching a master at work and, most importantly, I get to avoid the frustration that would undoubtedly arise if actually I tried to fix something myself.
I really enjoyed the (very substantial!) demo for ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs, a game that mixes a satisfying tactile repair experience with light store management elements. It reminded me of Trash Goblin (recently in 1.0) and an older favorite, Assemble With Care from Monument Valley developers ustwo. As someone who grew up in the 90s and 2000s, repairing Y2K era tech like “POKIA” mobile phones, legally distinct Tamagotchis, and even licensed Atari consoles was a nostalgic dream, and I’m eager to play the full game later this year.

Run a quaint electronics repair shop in mid-2000s Tokyo. Grow your business by carefully restoring iconic video game consoles, cell phones, music players, and other nostalgic devices. Talk to customers, hear their stories, and see how your decisions impact both their lives and your shop.
That does it for this quick hit, reminder that paid newsletters will start later this week, and on Friday I’ll have a great demo for you to try!
Have a great week!
